The OpenVMS community is a world wide community. Unfortunately, I am limited to only English as a fluent language to present this information. Fortunately, a WordPress plugin can allow you to read an automated translation from English to other languages.
Translation
As you can see from the menu item, the various tranlations can be accessed by using the Translation Menu on the sidebar. For example, if you want to translate the webpage into German, you would press the German flag to obtain an automated translation from English into German.
Please be aware this translation is only a rough approximation. Though not very fluent in German, my German language skills are good enough to recognize the translation is “rough” to say the least. In fact, while studying at the University of Vienna, I would tend to describe the resulting German as “Deutsch-lish”. It is a mix of German and English.
The translation tool uses Google Translation services. Due to differences in syntax and language structure, such an automated translation tends to be “rough” at best. Still, the Google Translation services offers more languages than other services.
And that is the point. I hope to make this set of services as broadly accessible as possible. Though I must say, I’m disappointed there is no Klingon or Elvish available.
