About

With more than 30 years experience in the computer industry, John B. Fisher still loves “dinking around” with computers. He sees technology as a tool which (when used wisely) makes life easier.

For more than 22 years, John …Yeah, yeah, yeah! If you want the partly line, then you can read more on the FisherFindings ‘About’ page. You don’t need me to repeat the same old drivel here!

Instead let’s talk about what this blog should accomplish. There’s lots that I learn as I make the primary FisherFindings website. There are lots of random things that I learn as I do my job. I thought this blog would be a great way to gather some of those stray thoughts that come through my system. This will be the quick and dirty collection of information that I will turn into articles and other information.

So, if this blog appears to be a messy haystack of facts and thoughts, well… you are right! But tucked away in there you will find lots of information about how you can accomplish similar results.

There are two key methods to bring order to this chaos. First of all the following posts show how to use various components of the FisherNotebook:

  1. Menu & Subscribe
  2. Login & Feeds
  3. Translation
  4. Thoughts (Yours, Mine & Ours!)
  5. About (Face?)
  6. Newsletter
  7. Contact JBF
  8. Posts & Comments
  9. Rate Posts
  10. Look Up Posts by Categories
  11. Look Up Posts by Topic
  12. Look Up Posts by Month and Year & Date
  13. Chat via FireF.ly

Second, the ‘Notes‘ page offers a logical index into the information. As I work through problems, do research, discover resources, I catalog it on the website. Then every two weeks I send an update of this information via the FisherSchool newsletter. Each newsletter includes recent information grouped into the following three key sections:

  • Key Lessons Learned
  • Interesting Resources
  • Research Areas

So, I hope you enjoy this resource!

Regards,
=jbf=
